Capacidad de mentir/ Ability to lie
Los seres humanos compartimos con los animales no racionales la capacidad de comunicación , cada especie tiene sus códigos comunicacionales, es decir, su lenguaje comunicante.
Pero los humanos, a diferencia de aquellos, gozamos de un lenguaje articulado y que podemos representar gráficamente, creando los lenguajes escritos. ¡No se asusten! ¡No voy a entrar en la kilométrica historia de los orígenes de la historia! Sólo quiero dejar esta introducción al tema de hoy; apreciada comunidad Holos & Lotus, comunidades afines y mis respetados amigos y seguidores.
Human beings share the ability to communicate with non-rational animals, each species has its communication codes, that is, its communicating language.
But humans, unlike those, enjoy an articulated language that we can represent graphically, creating written languages. Do not get scared! I'm not going to go into the mile-long story of the origins of history! La capacidad y plasticidad del cerebro humano le han permitido desarrollar un lenguaje complejo y diferenciado según los núcleos culturales en que los individuos se desarrollen, pero también vencer las fronteras linguísticas de un idioma e ir más allá, hacia la pluralidad lingüística aún en un mismo cerebro. Tenemos múltiples ejemplos de políglotas y de un gigantesco número de personas inscritas en el bilingüismo.

Y una vez creados los códigos lingüísticos, los humanos se las han ingeniado para transcribir los elementos de los códigos en diversas formas, el lenguaje para sordos, el sistema Braille. Además, también entran en juego una multiplicidad de gestos y señas con los cuales agregar vivacidad al lenguaje oral. Y con todas estas formas de comunicarse, incluyendo los avances tecnológicos, los humanos somos capaces de tergiversar la verdad y transmitir mentiras. Una capacidad también única que nos diferencia de los seres irracionales.

¿Por qué mentimos?
Mentimos porque tenemos la capacidad de mentir, pero al analizar los porqués de mentiras concretas y de individuos específicos, encontramos múltiples motivos, ya se trate de mentiritas blancas o de graves falseamientos de la verdad. Incluso encontraremos casos patológicos como los mentirosos compulsivos o los mitómanos.
Se dice que mentir demuestra falta de madurez, porque se considera propia del mundo infantil, pero tienen una fuerte competencia en los adultos.

Sin entrar en el tema de los valores, la mentira es un producto muy humano para "salvar el pellejo" o simplemente quedar bien, mediante una excusa; pero existe, aunque haya máximas que enfatizan su debilidad, como "la mentira es coja y al correr se cae" o "no se puede tapar el sol con un dedo, la verdad siempre sale a la luz".
Why do we lie
We lie because we have the ability to lie, but when analyzing the reasons for specific lies and specific individuals, we find multiple reasons, whether they are white lies or serious distortions of the truth. We will even find pathological cases such as compulsive liars or mythomaniacs.
It is said that lying shows immaturity, because it is considered typical of the world of children, but they have strong competition in adults.
Without going into the subject of values, lying is a very human product to "save one's skin" or simply to look good, by means of an excuse; but it exists, although there are maxims that emphasize its weakness, such as "the lie is lame and when running it falls" or "you cannot cover the sun with a finger, the truth always comes to light.
Si pretendemos educar a los niños en valores, colocando la verdad como un valor, debemos recordar que las mejores enseñanzas son los ejemplos, así que es necesario convertirse en portadores de la verdad para exigirla. Debemos recordar también que los niños son muy perceptivos y que sienten la verdad oculta tras las palabras, muchas veces reflejada en la mirada.
Debemos esforzarnos en expresar nuestros pensamientos con fidelidad, pero, ¡por favor! ¡no olvidemos la cortesía y los buenos modales!. Evitemos decir lo que hiere, pues muchas veces, lo que hace daño no es lo que se dice sino como se dice.
If we intend to educate children in values, placing the truth as a value, we must remember that the best teachings are the examples, so it is necessary to become bearers of the truth to demand it. We must also remember that children are very perceptive and that they feel the truth hidden behind the words, often reflected in their eyes.
We must strive to express our thoughts faithfully, but please! Let's not forget courtesy and good manners!. Let's avoid saying what hurts, because many times, what hurts is not what is said but how it is said.
